Print Design: People Still Read Brochures, Flyers and Signs, Right?

Sure, we’ve got a good rep for digital work. But that doesn’t mean we don’t know print.

As graphic designers and communicators, we believe in the fundamentals. So, whether we’re designing a one page print ad or a dense online training module, we refer to those fundamentals every step of the way. Does the ad grab a viewer’s attention and deliver its message quickly? Are the images, headlines and body copy in our brochures distinctive, to-the-point and obvious? At Splat, we believe in brevity over longwindedness. And clarity over clutter.

Here are some examples of recently completed print work:

  • Event Guide. The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair features an annual house tour every autumn, The Fall Festival of Homes. The 40 page guide we designed allowed visitors to plan their day’s worth of visits, as they trekked through Philadelphia’s Main Line neighborhoods and toured some of the region’s most lavishly design residences. You can see the digital version of the guide here.
  • Print Advertising, Invitation Design and Environmental Signage. An annual fundraiser to benefit Philadelphia’s Live Arts Festival, the Philadelphia Feastival brings together chefs, foodies and performance artists in one over-the-top gala. Splat designed all the print collateral for the event. You can see digital versions here.
  • Print Advertising and Environmental Signage. Pearl Apartments is a longstanding client of ours. A diversified real estate company, Pearl develops and rents some of Philadelphia’s most desirable residential and retail property. Besides our digital work, we’ve designed brand elements, print advertising and signage for them. Examples of our work can be seen here.
