Jami Slotnick recently joined Splat, Inc. as Vice President. While she might be somewhat of a rookie here at our offices, she’s certainly not new to the role of content creation, having been a freelance magazine writer in the Greater Philadelphia Area for nearly 20 years. She has been a contributing writer for publications such as Philadelphia Style Magazine, Main Line Magazine, The Jewish Exponent, PhillyFIT Magazine, and New Jersey Lifestyle.

Jami’s passion for the written word also got a boost while working at Munroe Creative Partners (1995 – 2010). “I loved collaborating with the entire creative team to strategize about taglines, headlines, big ideas and bold approaches toward traditional media,” she confessed.

Currently, she heads up new business development and client relations here at Splat. Her traditional marketing background and social media savviness is a complementary match for Splat’s service offerings in that she brings an integrated strategic approach.

“Had they had a Social Media Strategy degree when I was attending college, I would have been over the moon,” Jami added. “Writing with a goal of customer engagement is a lot different than creating a catchy caption or a descriptive blurb of copy. There are extra layers of thought that go into writing for social media, and I really enjoy the challenge of dreaming up campaigns that disrupt all that digital noise.”

Jami’s favorite client project is one where she develops the framework of a campaign that resonates online and off. “Big ideas have ‘legs’ meaning they should work in nearly every context, remaining fresh and thought-provoking in the eyes, hearts, and minds of target audiences.”

When she’s not writing or working at our agency, Jami can usually be found playing basketball with her 8-year-old son, Brody, or indulging in good wine and tasty bites alfresco style along Rittenhouse Square.
