Designing for other designers is a unique and gratifying challenge. When showing off another firm’s visual work, the key to success is letting the website visuals not get in the way of the beautiful photography. That was the goal in this redesign of a well-known architecture firm on Philadelphia’s Main Line. Graced with stunning images, we needed our site to ‘get out of the way’ and let the photography tell its own story.
We created a simple, panel-based responsive layout for the firm website. Copy was kept to a minimum and we selectively employed interactive scrolling features which allow project details to ‘roll out’ or remain hidden, depending on user preference. Projects were categorically divided and an easy scrolling mechanism allows users to move from project to project.
